Mount Ararat Christmas CD

This year, our church decided to do something creative for our Christmas Eve invitations, so members of our worship team came together to record a few Christmas songs for an album that we could hand out to members of our community. I'm going to try to post a few songs over the next couple days, but to start off with - here's a song I wrote called "It's Christmastime." You can go here to download it: MP3

This weekend we got pounded by what I'm sure historians years from now will call the biggest blizzard to ever hit Stafford County, Virginia in all of 2009. To pass the time, the kids recorded a few Christmas tunes. Enjoy!

update on the new album

Just a quick update on the progress of the new album, 'Daughters and Sons.' After the initial recording dates in September, Micah spent a few extra days in November wrapping up the lead vocals with Mac Powell in Atlanta. Since then, we've been putting the finishing touches on the album at our studio here in VA. The good news: all recording should be completed by this weekend! Up next is mixing, mastering, replication, and a huge sigh of relief. We're hoping all of that will be completed and we'll have a finished album by mid to late January.

In other news, we've added several live dates to our website. We'd love to see you at one of our shows and hear you singing these new songs along with us.

One more thing, Micah is heading off on a songwriters trip to Mumbai, India January 3-13. He'll be joining together with other songwriters / worship leaders from across the country to hopefully write some meaningful missions oriented worship songs. He'd really appreciate your prayers.

Darkhorse Studios

About 10 years ago I was in a band called no apples for adam. Through a strange series of circumstances we got to record both of our albums at dark horse studios in Franklin, TN. My friend (and former drummer) Jeremy Williams posted these blast from the past pictures on Facebook the other day and I thought I'd pass them on.
